Apparently this is supposed to be written in the third person. “Pete Sisco is a wonderful guy who is loved by everyone and this blog so special it’s actually sacred.” Alas, I have no throng of staff to write such things and curry my favor with flattery and exaggeration. So I’ll just tell you the story myself.
I launched this blog in October 2010. I’ve made a great living in e-commerce for ten years and used its inherent freedom and flexibility so my wife and I could travel extensively and live in any area of the world we choose. So far we have lived in Belize, Canada, Greece, Mexico, Thailand and USA and spent time in many other countries.
Everywhere we go people ask me how we have been able to live a life of maximum personal and geographic freedom by traveling perpetually for years. The truth is it isn’t that difficult and the rewards are spectacular. So instead of telling people while on a ferry in Thailand or while eating lunch at a beach restaurant in Belize, I created IndividualCapitalism as a source of information and inspiration for people anywhere who desire to re-engineer their lives for their own optimum personal freedom and prosperity and could use some honest information from someone who has already overcome the obstacles.
Ultimately this blog is about how to re-engineer your life for maximum personal freedom, irrespective of how you would spend that freedom. For Connie and me, personal freedom is about travel and living in many countries over our lifetimes.
This blog will chiefly address personal freedom – as I believe it is essential to human happiness – and it will mention travel secondarily, as I not only enjoy it but endeavor to learn about freedom from travel and from the independent-minded people we meet.
